At Ecreativeworks we build complex solutions for our Industrial Marketplace clients. Typical sites can range from a few thousand products to multiple hundreds of thousands parts and include things like custom ERP integrations, part builders, ecommerce, custom layouts and more. Ecreativeworks also provides successful online marketing programs through ongoing Search Engine Marketing programs. Part of our programmer’s day will also include doing work on sites that are already built out to help modify and optimize them for the search engines. The can include applying different schemas, mobile first edits, page speed optimizations, issues with page indexing, etc.

Ecreativeworks is looking to expand our team and hire a skilled PHP Website Programmer/Developer.

Position Overview:

The Website Programmer/Developer role is responsible for executing valid technical and creative solutions within requirements outlined within project proposals and formally approved projects at Ecreativeworks.  Ecreativeworks is looking for a website programmer/developer interested in working with e-commerce, configurators, and custom application projects, these projects will include implementing elements for custom part building applications, filtering thousands of products, and integration with ERP software via XML, SOAP, JSON or other means.

This role will also be responsible for day-to-day project communications, development, communication and oversight of project timelines, timely product deliveries and ensuring the creative product meets the client’s expectations.  It is anticipated that the core responsibilities will remain consistent; however, additional responsibilities and/or activities will be added as the role progresses and is refined. Immediate responsibilities include (and are not limited to): 

  • The creation and production of Websites and technical solutions, as specified and agreed upon by Ecreativeworks clients. This includes:
  • Technical programming, internal/external training, internal communication, regular updates on projects and full communication of known issues that may impact the project.
  • Use industry best practices, as solutions are offered.
  • Scope management for assigned projects; including ensuring the project is built to specification and not beyond.
  • Partnering, when needed, with the sales and analytics teams to validate solutions and sales propositions. At times, this may include contributing to the proposal development process;
  • Development and production of projects, as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 2 years PHP/MySQL application development experience.
  • Advanced HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript / JS libraries (JQuery and React a plus).
  • Proven experience with sites that interface with e-commerce and database-driven apps.
  • Ability to work independently under deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail / ability to produce quality work with minimal bugs.
  • Ability to work with and without established frameworks.
  • Knowledge of GIT
  • MySQL and MariaDB experience.

Preferred Qualities in Applicants:

  • Associates degree or BS in Computer Science / Information Systems (or related degree).
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce applications, including understanding the building and maintaining of modules.
  • Experience with WordPress, Drupal, and/or Laravel a plus.

This is a full time position in our St. Louis Park, MN office.
