Microsoft Outlook XP and 2003 Setup
The following instructions will guide you through configuring Outlook XP or Outlook 2003 to access your TRLinks Mail Account:note: We will be using the domain 123widgets.com as an example domain. Please replace 123widgets.com with your domain information in the below examples.
- Open Outlook. On the menu bar, click on Tools and then choose E-mail Accounts from the Tools menu.

- In the window that appears, choose Add a new email account OR View or Change Existing Account. Click on the Next button.
- In the next window, you are prompted to choose the type of server you will be connecting to. Choose POP3 and click on the Next button.
- In the next window, you need to enter the following information:
- Your name: Your real name
- Your e-mail address: Your full email address, ie: joeuser@123widgets.com
- The incoming mail server: Set this to mail.123widgets.com (replace this with mail.yourdomain.com )
- The outgoing mail server: Set this to mail.123widgets.com (replace this with mail.yourdomain.com )
- NOTE: Due to problems with various ISPs (Internet Service Providers) you may not be able to connect to and thus use 'mail.123widgets.com' as your outgoing mail server on the standard email port. This is an issue beyond our control. ISPs known to have issues are AOL, COX, Verizon, Earthlink, Verio, Netzero, MSN, Mindspring, SBC, Yahoo and others. If you tried setting your outgoing mail server to 'mail.123widgets.com', followed step 6. and were unable to send mail due to a connection error then please see the optional step in step 6.
- User Name: Enter your full email address, ie: joeuser@123widgets.com
- Password: Enter your password (it will be displayed as asterisks). Make sure the Remember password box below the password is checked.
- When you are done, click on the More Settings button.
- The Internet E-Mail Settings window will appear. Click on the Outgoing Mail tab. Make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
(optional) If you're having troubling sending mail then follow these steps.- Click on the Advanced tab
- The "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" port should be changed from 25 to 587
- Click on the OK button at the bottom of the Internet E-mail Settings window to return to the previous window. Click on the Next button.
- In the next window, click on the Finish button.
- That's it. You have completed setting up your email account on ECW Webworks. Thanks.
