International Search Engine Optimization & Internet Marketing

Ecreativeworks is expanding our services into the International Market. We provide you with a consultation program, website development, and translation for the country of your choice and search engine optimization programs geared towards international audiences.

International search engine optimization is gaining momentum as U.S. companies extend their business reach overseas. Ecreativeworks has the ability to partner with you in making your expansion a success!

Web research has proven that the use of search engines and social marketing tactics in overseas markets is just as prevalent, if not more so, than in domestic markets. Ecreativeworks will strive to help you gain visibility in the top search engines of Sweden, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Mexico, China, France, and more using proven dynamic strategies. Cultures are vastly different from one country or region to the next, so applying what we know about the demographics and characteristics of a country to our SEO strategy is also important.

First Steps in Gaining Visibility in the International Search Engines:

Step #1: Although the percentage of English-speakers using search engines in foreign countries is high, many will still use Google search or another search engine using their native language. It is imperative to translate your entire website to into the languages of your targeted audience. You want to make sure that you are respecting the language and culture of the intended audience.

Step #2: Another important first step is having a domain name that reflects that country of interest or having a ccTLD. A ccTLD is a Country Coded Top Level Domain. An example of this would be www.google.com and then www.google.fr (France). The first one is a common URL that is found in the United States and the second would be one that is specifically for France. You will get visibility for a standard .com, but your chances for visibility increase with a ccTLD. The search engines can alter their results for a search depending on the URL of the website and the I.P. address. Many people are hesitant to host their websites in another country, so having a ccTLD should help you gain visibility where your I.P. address may not.

Something to Consider Before Expanding Overseas

One of the biggest setbacks for Ecreativeworks customers is that fact that they want to reach an international market, but can not act upon requests via email or telephone from someone who requested information in their native language. A foreign language website is great, but is it worth the investment if you can’t follow up on a lead?

Expanding your business, services, and products to a target audience overseas can be exhilarating, but also overwhelming. There is a lot to learn about the search engine marketing trends of an area, the culture and language of the country, and what marketing techniques work and which ones don’t. If you are interested in expanding into an International Market, let’s chat and see what we can do together! Contact Ecreativeworks about International Search Engine Optimization.
