Original Goals:

Bolt Products, Inc., a fasteners distributor, knew that they wanted to find a way to increase traffic and conversion rates from inbound web site traffic to that high quality traffic – original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), engineers, distributors and end users. Bolt wanted to create a presence of authority; anyone that passed through their web site would have no compelling reason to leave without providing contact information.

Phase I:
Teaming with their Marketing Strategist, Bolt developed a multi-phase approach to address this challenge that included:

  • Search Engine Optimization(SEO) – Landing pages were implemented, keyword recommendations, research and content saturation were provided to elevate their research
  • A Sponsored Search Program
  • The addition of compelling Calls to Action
  • Providing a method for Bolt to capture and utilize the Call to Action data
  • Ongoing Optimization Program,including usability and conversion analysis

Phase I Results:

  • Website stats for the last five years show an increased session count on site by 60%.
  • Keyword Positioning reports provide the details. 54 first place rankings between four search engines. First place placement in Google for “Bolt Retainers,” “Cordset Components,” Nut Retainers,” and “Self Locking Speed Nuts”
  • Traffic results, conversions,bounce rate, and new visitor reporting experienced tremendous growth
  • Strategic content sharing with OEMs
  • 522 NEW customers in 2006
  • Part number optimization program
  • Ongoing Search Engine Optimization – monthly modifications are made to the keywords and key phrases based upon the findings of Ecreativeworks’ team. Ecreativeworks optimization successes are presented in SEO Reports to Bolt Products. Results after 4 months of optimization include:
    • 30% Increase in Website Sessions (currently over 12,000 sessions per month)
    • 68% Increase in Contacts
    • Over 4000 key phrases are sending traffic to Bolt organically
  • Email marketing campaign launched. With the introduction of a new line, Sherex

Phase II:
As the project matured, as well as the market and technology, Bolt moved on to Phase II of their website and creating their online authority in fasteners. They increase their investment in their website and implemented the following:

  • Content evaluation and strategic partnership to determine a content-centric site approach
  • Ongoing innovations and development of visual site design
  • Custom programming for ‘quick find’ functionality
  • Strategic execution and connection to the Online Catalog System and CAD campaigns.
  • Further keyword research,recommendations, and search engine placement
  • Content development services
  • Monthly search engine optimization program

Phase II Results:
As the project matures, as well as Bolt’s presence on the internet, the results of the work devoted to the website are astronomical:

  • Updated Search Engine Optimization Program Results (Jan – June 2007):
    • 9 #1 Rankings on Google for the current campaign. Some keywords include: “threaded universal bushings,” “liquid tight fittings,” “heyco wire terminators,” and “end-play take ups”
    • Bolt has over 9,000 links coming into their website
    • BoltProducts.com, on average, has over 12,300 visitors a month.  57% comes from the search engines.
    • Currently has over 15,000 keywords returning Bolt Products as an organic result
